The 23' Seacraft Sport Fishing Charter Boat.
For long time RI charter boaters, the SEACRAFT name is synonymous with quality and
excellent sea keeping characteristics. Seacraft has helped to shape the
the evolution of the modern sport fishing boat and few manufacturers
have the respect and reputation that the Seacraft brand holds today.
An innovator since the beginning, Seacraft has always been at the
cutting-edge of engineering and design technology. Lead by the legend
Carl Moesly, they created a hull in the 23’ size that even today is
measured against all other competitors, and is considered to be the best
midsize seagoing vessel ever built.
Captain Norm’s Seacraft 23 is a 1999 model year hull powered by a 225hp
Mercury Optimax outboard motor. The Optimax is a direct fuel injection 2-cycle
motor that is 45% more efficient than a standard 2-cycle engine, making
it extremely efficient for runs to Block Island. He has customized the
vessel with a T-top to provide protection from the elements and a place
to mount the electronics suite. With plenty of room all the way around,
it is a great mid-size sport fishing machine for up to 3 passengers and
the captain. Whether it’s drifting the Rip for bass or along the south
shore for flounder, it’s a truely excellent fishing machine.
The Busy Line has
radar, GPS Chartplotter, depth finder, radio, required fire extiguishers,
flares, and life preservers all meeting Coast Guard requirements for a
charter vessel.
